A liability is current when: · It is expected to be settled in normal operating cycle · It is held primarily for trading · It is due to be settled within twelve months after the reporting period, or · There is no unconditional right to defer the settlement of the liability for at least twelve months after the reporting period The Group classifies all other liabilities as non-current. Deferred tax assets and liabilities are classified as non-current. Basis and principles for consolidation The consolidated financial statements comprise the financial statements of the parent company Cloudberry Clean Energy ASA and its subsidiaries, see note 28. Subsidiaries Subsidiaries are all entities (including structured entities) over which the Group has control. The Group controls an entity when the Group is exposed to, or has rights to, variable returns from its involvement with the entity and has the ability to affect those returns through its power to direct the activities of the entity. Subsidiaries are consolidated from the date on which control is transferred to the Group. Subsidiaries are no longer consolidated from the date when control ceases. The financial statements of the subsidiaries are prepared for the same reporting periods as the parent company. Consistent accounting policies are applied. Profits and losses resulting from intercompany transactions have been eliminated, as well as unrealised gains on transactions between group companies. Unrealised losses are eliminated unless the transaction provides evidence of an impairment of the transferred assets. Upon purchase of projects, the management assess whether the purchase constitute purchase of an asset or purchase of a business in accordance with IFRS 3. Transactions with non-controlling interests Non-controlling interests in subsidiaries are presented within equity separately from the equity attributable to the owners of the parent. Noncontrolling interests consist of fair value of those interests at the date of the business combination, and the non-controlling interests’ share of changes in equity since the date of the business combination. When acquiring shares from a non-controlling interest the difference between the consideration and the shares proportionate value of recognized net assets in the subsidiary as correction of equity in the parent company owners. A change in ownership interest of a subsidiary, without a loss of control, is accounted for as an equity transaction. Consideration in excess of, or lower than, the carrying amount of non-controlling interests is recognised against the equity attributable to the owners of the parent. If the Group loses control over a subsidiary, it derecognises the assets, liabilities and non-controlling interest, and reclassifies to profit or loss, or transfers directly to retained earnings as appropriate, the amounts recognised in other comprehensive income in relation to the subsidiary. Any investment retained at the date when control is lost is measured at fair value and a gain/loss is recognised. Foreign currency translation Functional and presentation currency The functional currency of the companies in the Group is determined based on the nature of the primary economic environment in which the company operates. The functional currency of the parent company Cloudberry Clean Energy ASA and the presentation currency of the Group is Norwegian kroner (NOK). Transactions in foreign currencies are initially recorded by the Group’s entities at their respective functional currency spot rates at the date the transaction first qualifies for recognition. Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are translated at the functional currency spot rates of exchange at the reporting date. Differences arising on settlement or translation of monetary items are recognised in profit or loss. Non-monetary items that are measured in terms of historical cost in a foreign currency are translated using the exchange rates at the dates of the initial transactions.
