The core systems used by Norwegian municipalities are ad-
ministrative solutions that interact efficiently with technical
systems and provide the reporting that municipalities need for
their management teams to decide on appropriate priorities
and to ensure sound cost control. EVRY is the market leader
for ERP systems used by municipalities. Our services are
based on close collaboration with Agresso, and we deliver case
administration and archive solutions based on ePhorte and
ESA. The services portfolio also includes portal solutions from
Interaktor.
The segment's third area of service provision is the delivery
of information databases from a number of official informa-
tion registers, including the Norwegian Population Register,
the registers operated by the Brønnøysund register centre and
the Motor Vehicle Registry. WAN and telephony represent the
fourth area of service provision in EVRY’s solutions for the
municipality sector.
Healthcare market segment
The Healthcare market segment is the smallest of EVRY’s
three sectors for the public sector, but is a segment with very
significant growth potential. In view of this, EVRY Norway is
currently focusing on developing in-house solutions for the
healthcare segment, and is working closely with the equiva-
lent market sector in EVRY Sweden. EVRY’s focus on health-
care in Norway involves 50 employees, representing a unique
combination of technology and healthcare expertise for the
interface between healthcare and IT.
The vision for the healthcare industry vertical is that EVRY
recognises its social responsibility, and intends to realise this
by a commitment to improving and streamlining a sector that
is important for the entire Norwegian population.
The healthcare industry vertical focuses on the three central
service areas of operating services, clinical systems and ad-
ministrative systems. We intend to win market share and focus
our efforts on defined segments of the healthcare sector. Our
ambition is to continue to develop and expand the products
and services or we already provide. In addition, we intend to
create strategic alliances where we believe that we can offer
more to customers by working in collaboration with a partner.
The healthcare industry vertical is responsible for all deliver-
ies related to e-health. This includes the administration and
operation of the e-prescription service. EVRY also has major
contracts for the supply of operating services to the health-
care sector, with customers including St Olavs Hospital in
Trondheim and the Diakonhjemmet hospital, which signed a
new contract with EVRY in 2012. The segment is a significant
vendor of Oracle technology, which plays a central role in
many regional health authorities in Norway. EVRY offers a so-
lutions portfolio for the healthcare sector, and sees particular
potential in the area of clinical systems that represent the core
processes for this sector. In order to support this focus, EVRY
is developing consulting expertise to support the development
of innovative solutions. Other services that EVRY offers for the
healthcare sector include patient chart solution and solutions
related to patient security.
One example that can be mentioned is the e-prescription solu-
tion that EVRY has developed for the Norwegian Directorate of
Health. EVRY now also provides the operating services used by
the pharmacies that play the central role in dispensing medi-
cines. General practitioners, specialists and duty doctors all
now prescribe medicines electronically. This means that every
Norwegian citizen can now use any pharmacy that is conveni-
ent to collect prescribed medicines. EVRY has developed this
solution in collaboration with the Directorate of Health. The
rollout of e-prescriptions for the whole of Norway continued
throughout 2012, and was completed in early 2013. The solu-
tion now handles around 700,000 prescription messages each
day, and this helps to make everyday life easier for the entire
Norwegian population while at the same time delivering a
more secure and efficient system for processing prescriptions.
EVRY has also supplied BankID support for the e-prescription
solution, and work is now underway on the further develop-
ment of this concept. Through this system, EVRY delivers a
main element of the National Core Medical Records system
that holds information about which medicines are prescribed
to the individual patient. EVRY is responsible for the extension
of this system for use in hospitals. EVRY is also responsible for
the public portal «My Prescriptions» which is a good example
of the type of digital system of the future.
Case: State-of-the-art system to strengthen GIEK’s administration
One example is EVRY’s work on developing a state-of-the-art
case management system for GIEK. This project continued
throughout 2012, with a successful launch by GIEK in March
2013. The new GLOBUS case management systemwill ensure
a better and high-quality process for companies applying to
GIEK for export guarantees or seeking advice. In addition, the
system gives GIEK’s employees a state-of-the-art IT tool that
supports and manages key business processes. The solution is
built on the platform of a standard product for bank lending
and guarantees, together with a standard document manage-
ment systemwith record-keeping functionality that meets
the requirements of public sector administration. Through
the delivery of this system, EVRY has developed a value-chain
based tool for work processes that integrates all aspects of case
management electronically.
A unique regional structure
EVRY has a powerful presence in the Norwegian market, with
1,100 employees working from locations in 25 towns and cities
across Norway. We serve our customers locally with teams of
employees who are very familiar with the opportunities and
challenges of the local business community. EVRY’s geograph-
ic closeness to its customers and local delivery capacity are
fully supported by delegated decision making to ensure a rapid
response to the needs and demands of customers. At the same
time, our regional units can call upon extensive resources from
the entire EVRY group when appropriate.
