Another example is the Secure Operation layer, a smart
solution that supports integrated operations in a secure
manner. These include petroleum technological support, an
area in which EVRY has particular expertise when it comes to
optimal set up of systems, data and parameters for reservoir
simulation (Eclipse), seismic processing and geo-modelling.
EVRY’s team includes some of the best specialists in Norway
in the area of HPC (High-Performance Computing), which
involves setting up system clusters for seismic processing.
EVRY has expertise and documented achievement in facilitating
more effective collaborative working in a number of areas. In
2012, EVRY carried out a successful implementation of Lync
as a working tool for all employees of Petoro. Other services
we have supplied to several businesses include newmobile
solutions that reduce time spent travelling and provide greater
flexibility, and a tool that allows employees to quickly find the
correct data, make better decisions, and share knowledge and
experiences with others across the organization.
At the end of 2012, EVRY entered into two strategically
important contracts with Gassco for the delivery of IT services
in connection with the operation, maintenance and further
development of Gassco's applications portfolio. The agreement
runs for three years plus a further two-year option period.
IT is strategically important for Gassco, which operates
the integrated transport system for supplying gas from the
Norwegian continental shelf to European countries. EVRY has
enjoyed a long-term contractual relationship with Gassco for
the delivery of IT services ever since Gassco was first estab-
lished. These strategic agreements have now been renewed,
and will cover the areas of operation, maintenance and further
development of elements of Gassco's applications portfolio.
The applications portfolio already includes solutions that
EVRY has developed for Gassco, including the Gassco Booking
System (GBS) which is used for booking and monitoring
transport capacity in the pipeline systems. In addition, EVRY
will deliver Infrastructure Data Collection (IDC), which is a
system for data collection to support infrastructure develop-
ment. The third solution is the Gassco Maintenance Planning
(GMP) system. EVRY will also deliver services for Help Desk /
Operations and monitoring, which include first-line support,
as well as second and third line support, network services,
technical applications (systems operations), consulting
services, 24/7 IT cover/back-up, SAP support and develop-
ment, and also hardware deliveries. The agreement with
Gassco is strategically very important for EVRY, and particu-
larly for our activities in Haugesund and with the oil and
gas industry in south-western Norway. The agreement
demonstrates that we offer a competitive delivery model
with particular emphasis on providing local presence and
delivery capacity combined with market leading expertise
and strength from other areas within EVRY.
