Consultant networks
EVRY operates a number of networks for
the company's consultants.This includes
both local and national networks.These
networks provide consultants with up to date
information on technical developments, and
build relationships between colleagues across
the company. The company makes active use
of collaborative working tools to streamline
collaboration and sharing of expertise. One
example of a consultant network is seen at the
Oslo Consulting unit, which has a technical
network for six service areas that cover the full
range of the company's expertise base. Each of
these service areas is divided into subgroups,
with a nominated consultant responsible for
keeping each subgroup up to date.As an
example, the Business Consulting service area
is divided into separate technical networks for
change management, test management, asset
portfolio management and IT Governance.
Young professionals
The Young Professionals (YP) network is
available for all employees under 35 years of
age.This represents around 1,100 employees
in Norway.The young professionals are
themselves the driving force for the network,
and they decide its objectives and agenda.
Networking is encouraged through networking
events, social media and dialogue-based
media.YP gives its participants a better
understanding of EVRY as a whole, which helps
to create a stronger sense of involvement.
YP is also a channel through which young
employees can raise their personal profile,
expand their involvement and take the
initiative on changes and improvements in
the company. In addition,YP helps to raise
awareness of the opportunities that EVRY
offers individual employees in terms of career
development and social activities, as well as
promoting expertise and sharing knowledge
across departmental boundaries. EVRY
recognises that it is important for the company
to provide good support for YP’s activities, and
this takes various forms including the presence
of senior staff and various technical specialists
at events, and arranging for external speakers
to present themes of current interest.YP is run
by its own management board.
Female @ EVRY
EVRY works with the industry associations Abelia
and ICT Norway to promote the recruitment of
more women to the IT industry. This takes the
form of supporting the work of the Oda network,
which is a network for women working in the
IT industry. In addition, EVRY has an active
network for and run by its female employees,
known as female@EVRY.Although the proportion
of female staff in the company increased in
2012, EVRY still wishes to encourage a higher
proportion. We also need to be even better at
demonstrating the opportunities the company
offers in order to make it possible to recruit
the best female candidates and ensure that
they benefit from relevant career opportunities,
whether as managers or as technical specialists.
Female@EVRY arranges regular networking
meetings and is run by its own management
board with the active involvement of several of
the company’s senior female managers.
